My gym is finally going to start offering spinning classes - and the best part is that they're going to be FREE to members! I've been wanting to try spinning for a long time, but never wanted to pay for it, so now's my chance.
I went to a 20-minute orientation tonight, and I am going to LOVE this. I was bummed when the 20 minutes was up.
They're not sure when classes are actually going to start, but I can't wait - this is definitely going to be a nice addition to my cross-training.
And my road bike is at the bike shop getting a tuneup, and will be ready to go on Friday, so as soon as we get a warm weekend day, I'm hitting the road.
Ran this morning, too, and it was definitely a recovery run, after Saturday's speedy 6.6-miler. Today's 3.5 miles was at just under a 9:00 pace. I needed a slow run today, that's for sure.
Boys are good. Nothing too exciting to report - just a typical day. Gym, park, naps, lots of fighting over playing with the new castle set.....
A funny little Gabe-ism, though - we didn't actually open up the castle last night, because it contains roughly 3,000 tiny little plastic pieces. So when I was opening it up for him this morning, he was all excited and said "I can't wait! I hope this is gonna be really fun to play with!"
And this afternoon when we went out to the store, they each wanted to bring one of the knight figurines with them, and Dante was holding his knight while also snacking on a bag of goldfish, and then he stuck the knight into the bag of goldfish and told me that the knight was swimming. Goofy kid.

That is great news! I can't wait to try the spin class at my gym!

Spin at the Y! Hopefully they will have a class during the day so I can go. Kinda stinks working 2nd shift. I really want to try the class. Those bikes look really cool.

There is nothing quite as powerful as the imagination of a child.
Great news about the spin class. It will really get you in shape...although those run times make me think you are already in plenty of shape. Great job!

If you don't mind me asking, what is spinning?
Come by my blog if you can. I am doing something a little different since I am suffering from a minor injury at the moment.
