Spent this beautiful day, with gorgeous weather, at the Washington County Fair with my boys and my mom and dad.
Let the boys play way too many games, win way too many stupid cheap prize toys, go on way too many rides, and eat way too much junk.
Followed that up with more overindulgence - dinner at Aunt Carrie's.
Took a leisurely drive down Ocean Road on the way home, with the windows open and the sea breeze blowing through the car.
They are now tucked in bed with the assortment of ugly plush animals they won, still smelling faintly of ice cream.
A perfect summer day in my most favorite place to be in the summer.
The gem of the day - while telling Gabe that there would be a limit to how many rides he could go on, because it costs money to go on the rides - he interrupted me to explain that the rides don't cost money - "you just need tickets."
and you can pay for the "tickets" with "checks". You have plenty of those :-)
