Because I'm actually setting my alarm before I go to bed tonight, something I haven't done since I stopped working in April.
Not only that, but I'm setting my alarm to go off around 5am. On a Sunday. On a holiday weekend.
And the craziest part is that I'm actually looking forward to it!
The good news is that the weather is going to be significantly cooler tomorrow. Whew! Temps should be in the 50s at race time, and cloudy, too, so really, pretty perfect.
My Garmin and iPod are charged and ready, and I'm heading upstairs to get my clothes and shoes ready to go.
I'm not aiming for anything even close to a PR. There will be NO sprinting for this runner, no matter what the time on the clock says. I'm taking it nice and slow, so as to keep myself healthy - planning on 10-minute miles, so I'll be very happy with a 50-minute time.
I know I'll enjoy myself at that pace, and that, after all, is why I'm doing this : )
