When we got home from the gym today, I asked Gabe and Dante if they wanted tunafish or peanut butter and jelly for lunch, and they said they wanted both. Interesting, but I figured I'd go with it.
So, I made one pb&j and they each had half, and I also gave them each a serving of tuna salad - they prefer it plain, rather than on a sandwich.
In addition, they each had a pickle, some veggie chips, and some strawberries.
One heck of a lunch, I think.
The best part, though, was the conversation and background noise.
Every time Dante took a sip from his cup, he'd smack his lips and say "aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!"
After eating his pickle, Gabe let out an enormous burp, snickered, said "Excuse me," and then said "Hmmmm.... I think I burped because I ate too much of the juice in the pickles." A very logical explanation.
Dante was talking about one of the guys who works at the gym childcare, whose names is Tate, except Dante kept referring to him as "Tape."
Gabe told me a long, elaborate story - I can't even remember what it was about, it was so complicated - and when he was done, I said "You tell very nice stories, Gabe." He looked at me and said "Yeah, I know."
And, I swear I'm not making this up - as Gabe was eating his tuna, he looked at me quizzically and said "Is this chicken?"
