Working On Their Act

The boys have made some changes to their comedy routine. Instead of just saying "poopy diaper" and laughing hysterically, they now say "Knock knock. Who's there?  Poopy diaper!"  and collapse in giggles. They get more sophisticated every day. 

Gabe has come out with some good catchphrases lately - We walked outside this morning, and he took a deep breath and said "Ahhhh....what a day!"   And yesterday Dante was trying to get the cap back on his water bottle, and he was having a really tough time with it, but he was persistent and finally got it on, and Gabe looked at him and said "Good job, Dante! That's my boy!"  And while we were watching the weather the other night, we saw that the forecast was calling for temperatures up near 80 this weekend, and Scott and I both said "wow!"  and Gabe chimed in, saying "Wow! I haven't seen that in FOUR YEARS!"  Since this winter seemed like it lasted about 4 years, I can't say I disagreed with his sentiment. 

The weather today was about as perfect as it gets, and we spent as much time outside as possible. I love having the clothesline because of all the energy (and money) we're saving, but also because it's a great excuse for us all to get outside for at least a few minutes every single morning and afternoon, to hang the clothes out and bring them in. I was able to get two full loads of wash dried out there today, and am so happy that my dryer has not been turned on in three days!  

We spent about an hour at the park this afternoon, too, for a change of scenery. And I got in a nice 5-mile run this morning, at a much slower pace than yesterday's. 

I am doing the 5K tomorrow morning, and I hope to have a good race, but I'm not going for a PR or anything. It's going to be another gorgeous day, and since it is supposed to warm up quite a bit, I'm glad the race starts early (9am), before it gets too hot. 

Our other big plan for tomorrow is to get the garden plot re-tilled, so we can start planting. I've got many seed packets just waiting to be planted, and can't wait to get started!  

But right now, I need to turn my attention back to the Sox - Yankees game on TV. Spring really has sprung  : )

Good luck on your race... I will be registering Matt and Jon for kindergarten soon. I can't believe how fast time flies. You blink then it disappears - can we just stop blinking maybe?

I love my clothesline too! The little ritual every morning and evening going out there to fold the clean, fresh clothes. I love it.
