Very Proud Mommy

Gabe and Dante were working on birthday cards for their cousin this morning, and I decided to let Gabe try to write his message himself, and this is what he came up with:

HAPE BRTHDA LOV GABE

Granted, his spelling skills are not quite up to par, but I was totally impressed. That's the first time I've ever asked him to try to write something like that on his own, and he did so well sounding out each word and trying to figure out the correct letters to write. I'm going to let him do a lot more of this, now that I know he's capable of it. 

My little boy is really, really growing up.

Tell Gabe he did a great job on the card.....I am sooo proud of him ! Can not get over how much he has progressed just since starting school...very impressive !
